Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.

But people will never forget how you made them feel."
But people will never forget how you made them feel."
How sweet is this? It shows us that our instincts are to help and care for each other and be grateful for what we have and who we are for those less fortunate may not have what you do. You know what I really love about this most of all? How happy the look on that dog's face is. He can't see but he's so happy to have a friend.
Be thankful for your friends for they walk in when the rest of the world sometimes walks out.

what a story!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh....this story just makes me want to hug a puppy!! How sweet. Thanks for posting this. I'm going to send this along to another friend of mine. I know she'll appreciate it as much as I do!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! Those dogs are beautiful too! :) I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your chocolate lab, I lost my little dog years ago and it was really the most devastating thing ever. I refuse to get another one because it was so heart breaking! But dogs really ARE man's best friend! :) Thanks for linking this to my blog cute girl!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! This made me tear up. How sweet is that? Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOmg I saw this on Pinterest and couldnt even read it all the way through! Dogs are my favorite things ever...bet than most people so I cant stand hearing anything sad about them!
ReplyDeleteI knew as soon as I saw this the message I wanted to send. Friends come in human form and animal form and I am sure that one of these dog's couldn't live without the other. Our instincts tell us to love and care for other's in need. I am coming back in my second life as a dog and if I am blind, it won't matter because I hope I have something like this beside me. Plus, I can eat and poop in public, what a great life!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet story! I am a huge animal lover too! Thanks for sharing.
